Manithan Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at C/O 180/D on Keela Street. This is in Saliyamangalampapanasam, Tamil Nadu 613504. It’s a mouthful to say, but for us, it’s just home. We are a small group and we spend our days looking after the interests of the local farmers. The office on Keela Street is where all the planning happens. It’s a bit cramped when everyone shows up at once, especially during the harvest months. We don't have fancy computers or a big marketing team. It’s mostly just us and a few ledgers. We talk to the farmers about what they’re growing and try to figure out the best way to move the goods. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about the old days, but when the crops come in, it’s all hands on deck. The humidity can be tough in this part of Tamil Nadu, but we’re used to it. We just do the work that’s right in front of us. People know us as the Manithan group. We’ve known most of the families around here for generations. It’s more like a community project than a real business sometimes. We just want to make sure the guys working the fields don't get forgotten. There isn't much more to it than that. We open the doors early and stay until the work is finished for the day.
