Our group is based at 8/127 A 041, right on North Street in Avudaiyarkovil. The name on our papers is Thiruperundurai Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s basically just a collective of us farmers from around the Tirupperunthurai area. We’ve all been farming for years, mostly following what our fathers and grandfathers did. Things have changed though, and it’s not as simple as it used to be to get things to market. So, we set this up to help each other out with the business side of things. It’s a practical way to manage our harvests. We aren't doing anything flashy here. Most days involve a lot of talk about rain, seeds, and who has a working tractor. Our spot on North Street is where we meet up to discuss the season's plans. It’s a bit dusty and usually quite busy during the peak times. We try to keep things honest and straightforward. Farming is tough work, and being part of this company makes the load a little lighter for everyone involved. We don't have fancy offices or polished brochures.
