Thanjavur Collective Farming Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are over here in Gnanam Nagar, specifically at number 2 in the Abirami Complex on 1st Street. It is just a group of farmers from around Thanjavur who decided to work together. We got the idea because working on your own is getting harder every year with costs going up. Our office is not a big fancy place with glass doors, just a simple room where we meet to talk about crops and how to manage the collective. There is a lot of us involved now from the local area. We grow different things depending on what the season allows. Sometimes the rain helps us out and sometimes it does not, but being part of this collective makes it a bit easier to handle the bad times. People come by the office to sign papers or just to check in on what is happening with the sales. We have been at this address for a while now. It is mostly just making sure the members get what they need for their fields, like seeds or advice on pests. Thanjavur is a good place for farming but you really have to know the soil to get anything to grow well. We spend most of our hours out in the dirt and then come back here to the complex to finish the paperwork. It is usually quiet in this part of town. We don't have a marketing team or anything polished. It is just local people doing the work.
