We are the people behind Peravurani Women Farmer Producer Company Limited. Our office is at No.3/346-1 in Tiruchitrambalam Village. It is a quiet place where most of us have lived our whole lives. We started this because the women in our village needed a way to handle their own crops. It’s not a fancy business. Usually, we just sit around in the post office area and talk about what needs to be done for the next season. The building we use is small and sometimes the roof leaks a little when the rain is heavy, but it serves us well enough for now. We aren't corporate people with big degrees. We just know how to grow things and we want to make sure our families are taken care of. Dealing with the paperwork is the hardest part because none of us really likes sitting at a desk for long. We’d much rather be out in the dirt. But we know it’s important to keep track of the money and the produce so everything stays fair. Sometimes it takes us a long time to make a decision because everyone wants to have their say. That’s just how we do things in Tiruchitrambalam. We don’t have a website or any of those modern things. If you want to talk to us, you just have to come down to the village and look for our sign near the post. It’s just us, working together to keep the local farms going.
