New Bharti Public School

Our school is at number 79 in Philomina Nagar, right on the 1st Cross in the P&T Colony area of Thanjavur. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels quite safe and quiet most of the time. The school is a small building that fits right in with the houses around it. We’ve been here in this part of Thanjavur for a few years now. The kids usually come from the nearby houses in the colony. We have a few classrooms and a small area out front. It’s not a massive place, just a local public school. We spend our mornings getting the classrooms ready and setting out the books. There is a lot of shade from the trees in the colony, which helps keep the place a bit cooler in the afternoons. We don't use any fancy management software or anything, just paper ledgers and hard work. The teachers are mostly local people who know the families. Sometimes we have a small gathering for the parents in the front yard. It’s a very grounded way to run a school. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the children are learning their basics. When school finishes, the streets of Philomina Nagar get busy for a few minutes and then it goes back to being quiet again. It’s a decent place to work and learn. We have a few old fans that rattle a bit, but they keep the air moving on hot days.
