Mother Pride Higher Secondry School

Mother Pride Higher Secondry School is right near the Thanjavur Medical College. It is a busy area because of the hospital and the students moving around. Our school is a higher secondary one, so we are dealing with the older kids who are getting ready for college. The building is fairly large and has several wings. You can hear the sounds of the medical college area from the playground. We have science labs that get a lot of use, though the equipment is a bit older now. The classrooms have high ceilings which helps when the Thanjavur sun is really beating down. We have a lot of students, so the hallways are almost never quiet. In the morning, the road outside is a mess of cycles, bikes, and buses. We have a small staff room where the teachers drink tea and talk about the day's plans. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or things like that. Most people know about us from the families who have been sending their kids here for years. We make sure the students keep up with their notes and do their practicals in the labs. There is always someone painting a wall or fixing a leaky tap somewhere in the building. It is a constant job keeping the place running. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep things moving in the right direction for the kids.
