This area is famous for its history, but for us, it’s mostly about the coconuts and the coir we get from them. Our place at 190/5C is where the heavy work happens. Coir is a bit of a rough business—it’s dusty, it’s noisy, and you end up with fibers on your clothes all day long. We don’t mind it much because it’s what we do. We work with a lot of local folks who bring in their husks. It’s a real community thing here. We don't have a polished showroom or anything; it’s just the processing area and a small space for the paperwork. Thanjavur heat can be brutal, so we start early in the morning to get the bulk of the work done before it gets too hot to breathe.
