Naram'S Food Products

Naram'S Food Products is tucked away in the Om-Shakti building over in Ban-Dongri. It’s a quiet enough area but our kitchen is always moving. We start before the sun is fully up to get the fires going. You can usually smell what we are making from down the lane. We don’t use those giant industrial machines that you see on TV. Mostly, it’s just large pots and people stirring things by hand. Our floors are clean but the walls have that yellow tint from years of steam and cooking. We make stuff that reminds us of what we ate growing up. Nothing too complicated, just honest food. The packaging happens in the back room where it’s a bit cooler. We have a few local women who come in to help with the bagging. They talk and laugh while they work, which makes the day go faster. Sometimes a delivery truck struggles to find us because the lanes in Ban-Dongri can be a bit confusing if you aren’t from here. We just go out and wave them down. We don’t have a big office or a receptionist. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up with a quick hello. We sell to the local shops mostly. It’s a lot of hard work and the heat from the stoves is no joke, but we like seeing the finished crates ready to go out.
