You can find Galaxy Food Processing Pvt. Ltd. at A-539 in the T. T. C. Industrial Area, along the Thane Belapur Road in Mahape. It’s a huge industrial zone, so we are surrounded by all kinds of factories and warehouses. Our building is pretty standard for M. I. D. C., with high ceilings and plenty of room for the processing equipment. It’s usually quite loud inside because of the motors and the conveyor belts running all day long. We have shifts that start early and some that go late into the night. It’s a lot of work to keep the machines clean and running like they should. The Thane Belapur Road is always clogged with trucks, so we have to plan our loading times very carefully or else we get stuck for hours. We don’t have a fancy entrance or a nice garden; it’s just a gate with a security guard and a lot of concrete. Most of us eat our lunch in a small breakroom that has an old fridge and a couple of tables. We talk about the local news or how the trains are running. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We focus on the processing side and making sure the output is consistent. We’ve been in Mahape for a while now, and we’ve seen the area change, but our routine in the factory stays pretty much the same.
