Food First

Our place is located at 8/57 in Old Siddharth Nagar. It’s right behind the Pearl Apartment in Goregaon West. If you aren't familiar with the back lanes here, it might take a minute to find us the first time, but once you know where we are, it’s easy. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while. It isn't a massive commercial kitchen or anything, just a functional space where we get the cooking done. There’s usually a lot going on in the narrow streets around here, kids playing or people heading to the market. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the food. The name Food First is just what we called it, though we don't spend time on fancy slogans or logos. We just get the ingredients in every morning and start the prep work. It’s hard work, especially when it gets hot in the afternoons, but it’s what we do. People from the nearby apartments often drop by to see what’s cooking or to pick up their orders. We don't have a big seating area or anything, it’s mostly just for takeout and deliveries. We try to keep things simple and honest. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when several orders come in at once, but we manage to get them out. It’s just a local business trying to make a living in a busy part of Mumbai, and we’ve been here for years.
