Yashvi Fabrics

You’ll find Yashvi Fabrics at 12/7 in Khatodara Society. We are situated right behind the sub jail in the Khatodara area, near the Ring Road and the Mahila Nagrik Bank. It’s an interesting spot to be in. The area is a mix of residential houses and small commercial places. We’ve been here for several years now. Our focus is on fabrics, and we have quite a lot of it stored in our space. The shop is basically a large room filled with rolls and piles of material. It’s not very fancy, just some metal shelves and a cutting table in the middle. We spend a lot of time measuring out lengths of cloth for people. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of all the fabric fibers in the air, but we keep the fans running. The street outside can get a bit narrow when people park their scooters there, so it’s sometimes a squeeze to get through. We know the neighbors well, and often stop to chat when we’re opening up in the morning. It’s a simple operation. We buy the fabric, we store it, and we sell it to whoever needs it. No big marketing budgets or anything like that. We just do our work and try to be helpful when someone is looking for a specific type of cloth. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving the heavy rolls around, but it keeps us in shape. We like being part of this local community and seeing familiar faces.
