Bayleaf Restaurant

Our place is located within the Rajhans Multiplex Cinema on Pal Hazira Road, right in the Adajan Road area of Surat. Being at a cinema means we get a lot of people who are coming to see a movie or just hanging out in the complex. It’s a very busy spot, especially on the weekends when a big film is playing. We are also quite close to the Ambaji Mandir, so we get people from the temple too. We’ve been operating here in the 395009 zip code for a while now. The routine is mostly based around the movie timings. We have to be ready when the shows let out because that's when everyone comes in at once. It can be a bit chaotic, but we’re used to it by now. The kitchen is small but we make it work. We don’t use any corporate language or have a polished front. We’re just a bunch of people working together to serve food in a busy multiplex. Most of our staff lives nearby in Surat. We don’t really do much in the way of marketing because the location brings in most of our customers. We just open up, do our jobs, and close late at night after the last show. It’s a steady way to live, and we enjoy the energy of being around the cinema and the temple. Sometimes the popcorn smell from next door wafts in, which is just part of being here at Rajhans.
