Yamuna Textiles

Our shop, Yamuna Textiles, is tucked away in Shop No-53 inside Radhey Market on Ring Road. If you know the area, you know how packed Ring Road gets with all the traffic and people moving around. We are right near the main part of the market. It’s a loud place, full of energy every single day. We deal with various fabrics and materials. Most of our days are spent unrolling bolts of cloth and cutting them for customers who walk in. The shop isn't huge, so we have to stack the rolls pretty high up on the shelves. Sometimes it’s a bit of a struggle to reach the ones at the very top. We use a small wooden ladder for that. The lighting in the market can be a bit dim depending on the time of day, but we make do. It’s a family-run kind of setup. My brother usually handles the deliveries while I stay behind the counter. We’ve seen the market change a lot over the years. New shops open and old ones close, but we’re still here in the same spot. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, talking to people about what kind of material they want for their projects. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. Just a lot of fabric and some old chairs for people to sit on if they’re waiting. It’s just a normal workday for us. We just keep going.
