Vijay Shree Sarees

You can find Vijay Shree Sarees at Shop No. 6 in the Shri Krishna Building. It is on Dadasaheb Phalke road, and we are quite close to the old Ranjit Studio. Most people use the studio as a landmark to find us. The building is an older one, but it’s sturdy. Our shop isn't very large, but we have enough room for the saree racks. We have a few lights that we keep on all day to make the colors of the fabric stand out. There is a small bench outside where people sometimes sit and wait. We spend our time folding sarees and talking to the people who wander in from the street. Dadasaheb Phalke is a busy road, so there is always the sound of horns and engines in the background. We have a ceiling fan that wobbles a little bit but it does the job. Usually, we keep a bottle of water on the counter and a small radio playing some songs in the corner. It feels like a comfortable place to be. We’ve been here at shop number 6 for a long time. The neighbors are mostly other small shops selling different things. We know most of the people who walk past every day. It’s just a simple, local business where we do our best to stay organized and keep the shop running.
