We are set up over at the J.J. A/c market, near the Surat Textile Market on Ring Road. We have a few units there, from 5017 to 5020 on the S level. Having the air conditioning is a relief, especially during the summer months when the heat gets bad outside. We handle a lot of different textile products. It’s a big space but we manage to fill it up pretty quickly with new stock. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of what comes in and making sure it's ready for the customers. We aren't really into big marketing schemes or anything. We just open the shop, deal with the traders, and handle the shipping. It’s a practical way to run a business. There’s a lot of walking back and forth between the units to find specific items. Sometimes the hallways of the market get blocked with crates, so you have to be patient. We’ve got a small group of staff who have been with us for years. They know where everything is even when it looks like a mess to an outsider. We just focus on getting the job done and keeping the inventory moving. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment arrives, just to get it all sorted before the next morning. It's consistent work.
