Vidyanandan Sarees

We are located at S 544 on Dinesh Mill Road, over in the Srinagar Sco area near Ring Road. It’s a busy part of the city, and we’ve been operating out of this unit for a bit. We mostly deal in sarees. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a room filled with different types of fabrics and colors. We get our stock regularly, so the piles are always changing. Some days are slow, and we just sit and chat, but when the wedding season starts, it gets pretty hectic. We have a few guys who help with lifting the heavy bundles. The Ring Road traffic can be loud, but you get used to it after a while. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. People usually find us because they were already in the area looking for textiles. It's a practical setup. We show the sarees, talk about the work on them, and that's about it. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the stacks get a little messy when we're showing a lot of pieces at once. That's just part of the job. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just a reliable place where you can get a saree without a lot of headache. Sometimes the fans don't work that well when it's really hot, but we manage. It’s a simple life here and we like the neighborhood.
