Ver Laxmi Textiles

You can find us at 3030 Ring Road. It’s a big building and we occupy our part of it with rolls and rolls of fabric. The textile business around here is always moving, and we are right in the thick of it. My father started working in this area a long time ago and we just continued at this address. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy moving stock to worry about how the place looks. It’s a practical space. We have large tables for cutting and measuring, and the floor is usually covered in bits of thread and scrap material by the end of the day. We don't really do much advertising. People mostly walk in because they are already at the Ring Road looking for specific textiles. The noise from the street is constant, but you get used to the horns and the shouting after a week or two. We drink a lot of water because it gets stuffy inside with all the cloth around. There isn't a lot of room for a break area, so we usually just stand around the main counter when we talk. It’s a basic operation where we focus on getting the fabric out to whoever bought it that morning. We don't have any big corporate goals, we just try to get through the orders so we can go home to our families.
