Our units, H-2039 and H-2040, are joined together to give us enough room to breathe and work. Being on the first floor is a bit of a relief because we don’t have to climb as many stairs as the people on the upper levels. The Surat Textile Market is an iconic building, but it’s also very crowded and can be quite chaotic during peak hours. There’s a constant stream of porters and buyers moving through the corridors. Inside our space, we try to keep things organized, but when things get busy, there are bags and boxes everywhere. The walls are lined with shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment. We don't have fancy furniture or a reception desk. Usually, someone is just sitting at a wooden table with a ledger or a phone.
