Varmala Sarees

If you are looking for us, we are at J-2059 in the Surat Textile Market on Ring Road. This market is massive and it’s easy to get lost if you don't know the layout. Our shop is just one small part of this giant building. We have sarees piled up to the ceiling in some corners. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a big shipment in. We spend a lot of time on our feet, showing different pieces to anyone who stops by. The lighting in our section is a bit yellow, but it shows the fabrics well enough. There’s always someone drinking tea or coffee nearby. We know most of the guys in the neighboring stalls. We swap stories about the market when things are slow. Dealing with the traffic on Ring Road is just part of the daily routine. We usually get here before the crowds start. My brother handles the deliveries while I stay at the shop. We don't have any big signs or posters. Just the shop number and the name. We try to keep the sarees sorted by material, but sometimes they get mixed up during a busy afternoon. It’s a lot of work to fold them all back up properly. That's just how the saree business is. It’s a simple life and we’re used to it. We keep things moving day by day and hope for good weather.
