You can find us at C-1453 in the Kohinoor Textile Market. If you have ever been down Ring Road, you know how the traffic is just non-stop. Our shop is one of many in this huge building, and it gets pretty hectic during the peak season. We deal with various creations, mostly textiles that people are looking for to fill their own shops. The space is filled with bundles and stacks of cloth, and there is barely enough room to walk sometimes when we have a new delivery. We start early, usually before the market gets too crazy, and stay until the shutters come down late in the evening. There is always someone coming in to ask about prices or to see the latest stuff we have in stock. We do not use any fancy systems, just our ledgers and a lot of patience. Sometimes we grab a quick snack from the vendors outside while waiting for the tempo to arrive. It is a lot of back-and-forth with the transporters and the laborers who carry the heavy loads on their shoulders. The market has its own life, and we are just a small part of it here at C-1453. We do not really bother with decorating the place because the fabric does all the talking. It is just honest work, day in and day out, in the middle of Surat’s busiest textile hub. We just want to get the orders right.
