You can find us over at the Kohinoor Textile Market, specifically at unit B/2222. It’s right across from Kamela Dharwaja on the Ring Road. This whole area is basically the heart of the textile trade here. Narayan Nagar is always busy, and the Ring Road is never quiet. Our shop is packed tight with sarees. We have stacks that reach way up, and sometimes we have to use a ladder just to show someone a specific piece. It’s a noisy, crowded market, but we like the energy of it. There’s always someone shouting for a porter or a truck backing up. Inside our unit, we just focus on the cloth. We spend hours checking the borders and making sure the prints are okay. We don’t have much room for a desk, so we usually just stand or sit on the floor cushions. It’s the old way of doing things, and it works for us. We’ve been part of Kohinoor Market for years now. We know the other shopkeepers, and we all help each other out when someone needs a change or a bit of help moving heavy bundles. It’s a tough business sometimes, and the hours are long, but we’re used to the grind. We just keep our heads down and work. If you come by, you’ll probably see us drinking tea and sorting through the latest delivery. It is a lot of work, but we like the market life.
