Unnati Restaurant

Our restaurant is right in the middle of the Pandesara Karmyogi Housing Society. We have units 70, 71, and 72, so we occupy a good bit of space near the Gujarat Housing Board Cross Road. It’s a busy residential and industrial patch in Udhna, Surat. We started this place because people living in the society and workers nearby needed a spot to eat that wasn't too expensive or too far away. The atmosphere is very casual. You’ll see families from the housing board and laborers coming in for their meals. We don’t have fancy menus with pictures; it’s just the food we know how to cook well. The kitchen stays hot, especially in the Surat summers, but we keep going. We’ve been here for a few years now and have become a bit of a landmark for people giving directions in 394210. It’s not a quiet place, especially during lunch and dinner times. We don't do much in terms of decoration. It’s mostly tables, chairs, and the smell of spices. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when we’re packed, but we try our best. It’s just us running a local eatery for the neighborhood. No corporate backing, just a few partners who decided to open a shop on this crossroad. We’re here every day, making sure the food is ready for whoever walks in. We hope the regulars stay happy and new people find us easily. It is hard work, but we are used to the noise and the rush by now.
