Toraliya Sarees

Toraliya Sarees is located on the lower ground floor of Ashoka Tower on Ring Road. Being downstairs means it stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is a relief when the traffic outside gets heavy. We’ve got a lot of sarees packed into this space. It’s not a giant showroom with bright lights and fancy carpets, just a regular spot where we keep our stock and talk to customers. Most people come to us because they know we have a variety of patterns. We spend a lot of time folding and unfolding things because everyone wants to see how the fabric hangs or how the border looks in the light. It can get a bit messy by the end of the day with all the plastic covers and pins lying around, but we tidy up before we head home. Ring Road is always a busy place, so there’s a constant hum of engines and horns in the background while we work. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here. We just buy sarees from the makers and sell them to people who need them for weddings or just regular wear. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the traffic, and we have to wait around, but that’s just part of being in this area. We know our regulars by name, and they usually know where to find us in the basement. It’s a straightforward business, and we like it that way.
