The Royal Dragon Chinese Cafe

The Royal Dragon Chinese Cafe is located right on the ground floor, Shop Number 33, in Piplod. Being on Dumas Road in Surat means there is always something going on outside. We are right opposite Z2000, which is a landmark most people in this area know well. The cafe is a bit of a small space, but we’ve made it work over the years. It’s mostly just us doing the daily chores, setting up the tables, and making sure the kitchen is ready. Surat is a busy city, and Piplod can get quite hectic, especially on the weekends when everyone is out. We don’t really go for that high-end corporate look. It’s more of a place where the floor might have a scuff mark and the menus are a bit worn from use. That’s just the reality of a working cafe. We see all sorts of people coming in from Dumas Road. Some stay for a while, others are in a rush. We don’t have a mission statement or any of that talk. We just focus on the next order and the next customer. It’s a lot of work, and some days are more tiring than others, but it’s what we do. It’s just a normal cafe in a busy part of Surat, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep the lights on and the stove hot from morning until we close up.
