The Centre Court Restaurant

The Centre Court Restaurant is over in Parle Point in Surat. We are right near the Ambica Niketan Bus Stand Parle Point, so there is always a crowd of people waiting for their ride just outside our doors. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day. It’s 395007 if you are looking at a map. We have a lot of families who come in, especially on the weekends when nobody feels like cooking at home. The kids usually make a bit of a mess with the water glasses, but that’s just how it goes. We have these big windows that look out towards the street. You can see the vendors selling things on the sidewalk and the motorcycles weaving through the cars. Inside, it’s a bit cooler than the humid air outside. We keep the fans going pretty much all the time. The kitchen is always a bit of a loud place with the fans whirring and the cooks shouting orders back and forth. We use a lot of napkins and the floors get swept about ten times a day. It isn't a place with white tablecloths or anything stiff like that. We just have sturdy chairs and tables that can handle a lot of use. Some of the regulars have been coming here since we first opened the doors. They usually sit in the same corner every time they visit and order the same thing they always do.
