We are located at J-4 in the Japan Market, right by Delhi Gate. It is a very crowded area and finding a parking spot is almost impossible most days. The market is full of small shops just like ours, all packed together. We have been in this unit for some time now and we know most of the neighbors. We mostly deal with the day-to-day business of selling textiles and keeping track of our inventory. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be very organized with how we stack the rolls. If we aren't careful, the whole place starts to feel like a maze. We spend our time talking to people who come in looking for specific types of cloth and making sure we have enough to satisfy the orders. Delhi Gate is a landmark that everyone knows, so at least we don't have to explain the location too much. The Japan Market has a specific energy to it that you only get in a place like Surat. It’s loud and busy and sometimes a bit overwhelming, but it is where we do our best work. We don’t have a website or any big marketing plans. We just open the shop, put out our samples, and wait for the regulars to stop by. It’s a simple way to make a living and it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment arrives just to make sure everything is tucked away safely inside. It's just a normal shop in a big market.
