Tamanna Sarees

We set up Tamanna Sarees at 556 Shivani Park. It’s right across from the Tex Palazzo Hotel on Ring Road. Being on Ring Road means there is always something going on outside our door. We mostly deal with sarees, obviously, and we keep a lot of stock in the back. The space isn't huge but we make it work by stacking things high. We see a lot of people passing by on their way to the hotel or other shops in the park. It’s a practical location for us because the transporters are close by. We spend a lot of time unpacking new arrivals and checking the quality of the fabric. It’s dusty work sometimes. We aren't really into big speeches about what we do. We just sell sarees to people who need them. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, and other days we don't even have time to eat lunch. That is just how the textile business is in this part of town. We’ve got a small group of regulars who come in every few weeks. They know where we are. If you’re looking for us, look for the hotel and then look across the street. We’re usually there until late evening. It is a bit cluttered inside, but we know where everything is kept and how the market flows.
