Surat Foody

We are located at 7, Upper Ground in the Surya Kiran Complex. It is right on Ghoddod Road in Surat. If you know the area, you know it gets very busy because St Xaviers High School is right nearby. We have been here for a while now, just running this small place. It is not fancy at all. We have some tables and chairs that have been here since we opened. The floors are tiled and we spend a lot of time sweeping them because of all the dust from the road. Most of our days start early. We have to get the kitchen ready before the lunch rush. In Surat, people really care about their food, but we don't do anything too complicated. We just cook what we know. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud you can barely hear the customers, but we manage. There is a lot of back and forth with the suppliers every morning. We get our vegetables from the local market. It is just a few of us working here. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It is just a regular shop. We see a lot of students from the school and people who work in the complex. Some days are slow, especially when it rains hard and the road gets flooded, which happens sometimes. We just sit and wait for the weather to clear. It is a simple life and we just keep at it day after day.
