Adarsh Market-2 is a crowded place, especially being right on Ring Road opposite the S.T.M. building. Our spot, number 528-29, is usually filled with bags and rolls of material. You have to watch your step when you come in because we are always moving things around. The traffic outside never really stops, so there is this constant hum of engines and horns. We get here early to beat the worst of the heat and the crowds. Most of our day is spent checking orders or talking to the guys who deliver the goods. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and carrying stuff, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve been in this market for a while so we know most of the people working in the nearby shops. Sometimes we share a meal or just complain about the parking situation together. The shop isn't very large so we have to use every bit of space from the floor to the ceiling. It gets dusty, but we try to keep the fabrics clean. We don’t have a big office or anything, just a small desk where we keep the books. It’s practical. People stop by, look at what we have, and we try to help them find what they need without making a big fuss about it. It’s just a normal day at work for us on the Ring Road. We finish up when the sun goes down and head home like everyone else.
