Suneja Fashion Fabrics & Lifestyles Private Limited is based out of the Uma Small Scale Industrial Society. We have units 205 and 206, which are right behind the Azad Nagar Road in Althan. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machines or trucks in the background. We’ve been here for a while, and the place is filled with the smell of fabric and old paper. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving big rolls of cloth around, but that’s just how an industrial unit looks after a few years. We don’t have any fancy decorations, just the tools we need to do the job. The Althan area has grown a lot, but our little corner in the Uma society stays pretty much the same. Most mornings start with unlocking the big metal doors and checking what needs to be sent out. We handle a mix of different fabrics and lifestyle goods, and it can get pretty cluttered when a new shipment arrives. Sometimes the dust from the fabrics makes everyone sneeze, but we just open the windows and keep going. It’s a practical space for practical work. We know our neighbors and we know the delivery drivers who come by every afternoon. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we do, and we’ve been doing it long enough that we don’t need to think twice about the daily grind.
