Our workspace is located in the Kuthrud Industrial Estate along the Ring Road. It’s not like a regular shopping mall; it’s more of a place where things actually get made. You can hear the machines from the other units humming all day. We are at 1071 17/1B. The space is pretty industrial, with high ceilings and a lot of concrete. We spend most of our time at the cutting tables or checking the stitching on the pieces that come through. It’s a lot of manual labor. The air is always a bit full of lint and threads, so we keep the big fans running even when it isn't that hot. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll probably find us mid-work with a measuring tape around our neck. Lunch is usually a shared affair with the guys from the unit next door. We talk about the price of materials and how the traffic on the Ring Road is getting worse. It’s a practical environment. We don't care much for fancy furniture or decor. As long as the lights work and the machines are running, we are fine. It’s a long day from start to finish, but seeing the finished piles of clothes makes it feel like we did something useful. We just stick to our schedule and try to get every order finished on time.
