Sukanya Sarees

Sukanya Sarees is right across from Bhugaliya Nivas in the Katargam area. It’s a local spot that’s pretty easy to find if you’re familiar with this part of town. We’ve been here for a good while, just running our small saree shop. It’s nothing too complicated. We get new stock in, we put it out, and we talk to whoever comes in. Katargam is always busy, and there’s a lot of life on the streets. We enjoy being a part of that. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just shelves of sarees and a few places for people to sit and look at them. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or lighting. We think the stuff we sell is enough. Sometimes it’s just the owner here, and other times a couple of us are helping out. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We aren't trying to push anything on anyone. People come in, they look around, and if they like something, they buy it. That’s how we’ve always done it. We've seen many businesses come and go around here, but we just stay put. It's a simple, honest way to make a living. We spend a lot of time just keeping things tidy and making sure the shop looks alright. It’s not a big company, just a local business doing its thing every day. We are here from morning until the sun goes down, usually.
