Sonica Textiles

We are tucked away in Motipur, specifically in the Thaker Vas area along Chhakkapir Gali. It’s one of those narrow lanes where everyone knows each other. Our business is textiles, and we’ve been doing it from this same spot for a long time. The building is old and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it’s where we do all our work. We deal with various fabrics, mostly selling to people who come by specifically looking for something. It’s not a place with big windows or fancy mannequins. Most of our stock is kept in bundles and stacks against the walls. The Gali can be quite busy with people walking through, but our space stays focused on the fabric. We spend the day unrolling cloth, measuring it out, and cutting it for orders. There is always the smell of raw cotton and dye in the air. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. It’s a simple way to earn a living. We don't bother with much fancy talk or marketing. If someone needs good cloth, they know where to find us in Motipur. Sometimes we sit on the doorstep and chat with the neighbors while we wait for the next delivery truck to navigate the narrow street. The work is steady and we like it that way.
