Smit Fabrics

Smit Fabrics is located at shop number 1028 inside the Shree Mahavir Textile Market. We are right there at Puna Patiya, on the Kadodara Road. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it’s huge and easy to get lost in. We’ve been in this specific unit for quite a while. It’s a busy spot because of the main road being right there, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the trucks passing by. Our shop is filled with rolls of fabric from front to back. We don't have much room for fancy decorations or big desks. Most of the time, we are just moving stock around or checking the new arrivals that come in from the mills. Puna Patiya is a tough area to work in because of the heat and the crowds, but it’s where all the textile action is. We usually have tea delivered twice a day from the vendor across the street. The lights in the market can be a bit dim, so we added some extra bulbs to see the colors properly. We know most of the other shopkeepers around us, and we often help each other out with small things. It’s a basic way of living, but we’ve been doing it for years and it works for us. We don't spend money on fancy websites or ads. We just open the shutters and start the day and hope for good business.
