Smart Impex

Our place is up on the third floor of the Sai Embroidery Industries building, part 2, right on Amroli Sayan Road. Smart Impex has been operating out of this unit for a good bit of time. It’s a bit of a climb if the power is out, but we don't mind the exercise much. The Amroli area is full of workshops and you can hear the machines running from the street sometimes. We spend most of our time looking over orders and making sure things are moving along. It’s not some big corporate setup. It is just us and a few desks and a lot of samples lying around. The road outside gets really muddy when it rains, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floor. We moved into this spot because it’s close to where most of the work happens. People come by to discuss things, and we usually just sit around the small table we have in the corner. It's nothing fancy, just a practical space for work. We keep the doors open for the breeze, though it gets quite noisy with the traffic on Sayan Road. We've known the neighbors in the building for years now. We often share snacks in the afternoon when things quiet down a little bit. It’s just how we do things here. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the day-to-day stuff gets finished without too much trouble.
