Simple Sarees

We called the place Simple Sarees because we didn't want anything too complicated. Our building is called Simple House, and it's right near the Abhishek Market on Ring Road. It’s a busy spot, like most places in this part of town. We spend a lot of time just organizing the stacks. Sarees take up a lot of room when you have hundreds of them. We’re not a huge corporation with a hundred employees. It’s just a small group of us who have been working together for a long time. We know each other’s families and we eat lunch together in the back room most days. The traffic on Ring Road can be a nightmare, so we usually get here early to beat the worst of it. The shop has big windows but we keep them mostly covered so the sun doesn't fade the fabric. It’s a lot of work to keep everything clean because of all the construction nearby. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just open the shop and do our best to help whoever walks through the door. Sometimes the fans squeak a bit, and we keep meaning to fix them, but we never seem to find the time. We’re just a local business doing what we know how to do, which is sarees. It’s not fancy, but it works for us day after day.
