Simandhar Sarees

Simandhar Sarees is located on the upper ground floor of the Abhinandan Textile Market. If you’ve ever been to Ring Road, you know how hectic it gets with all the trucks and the laborers carrying huge bales of cloth on their backs. Our spot is number 551. It’s a busy corner of the market. We spend most of our mornings just clearing the floor and getting the sarees ready for whoever might stop by. It’s a lot of folding and unfolding. My hands get tired by the end of the shift, honestly. The lighting in the market isn't the best, but we have some extra tubes installed so people can see the colors properly. We’ve been in the textile trade for years, moving from one small stall to another until we landed here. It’s a tight-knit community in Abhinandan. We know the guys who sell plastic bags and the ones who run the freight. There’s no air conditioning in the hallways, so we stay inside our shop with the small fan going as much as possible. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything. We just open the shutters, sit on the floor cushions, and wait for the day to start. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. We just want to get the orders out on time so the clients don't get annoyed.
