Shrey Textiles

We operate out of Manglam Appartment in the Shatranjiwad area of Begum Pura. It’s a well-known spot in Surat if you’re into the textile trade. Our unit is number 212. It’s a bit of a maze getting through these streets sometimes, especially with the delivery rickshaws blocking the way. Shrey Textiles has been here for a good while. The building isn't the newest, but it's sturdy and keeps us out of the rain. We spend most of our time looking at different patterns and talking to weavers. It’s a lot of back and forth, making sure the colors look right under the lights. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is coming in or going out. My cousin helps me with the accounts, though he's often late in the mornings. We have piles of fabric everywhere, so you have to be careful where you walk so you don't trip. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a minute to breathe. It’s hard work, and the dust from the fabric can get to you after a few hours, but we’re used to it. We don't bother with fancy decorations or anything. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’d rather spend that time getting the orders out. It’s just a regular Surat textile business, nothing more, nothing less.
