Shreeram Textile

Our place is over in Varachha at Sardar Chowk. If you know the Minibazar area, it's pretty much always crowded and loud, but that’s where all the action is for textiles. Shreeram Textile is tucked inside Sunrise Chamber at number 110. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. It's mostly just rolls of fabric and us trying to keep track of orders. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up carrying things, which is a bit of a workout. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. The morning tea stall downstairs is where we usually start our day before heading up. Most of our days are spent checking the quality of the cloth and making sure the counts are right. It can get a bit messy with threads everywhere, but we try to sweep up before we leave at night. Dealing with textiles in a place like Varachha means you're always talking to people, negotiating a bit, and just keeping things moving. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the business. It gets hot in the summer months, especially in these old chambers, but we have a couple of fans that do the trick. We just do our thing here and don't worry too much about the rest. It’s a solid place to work and we’re used to the noise.
