Shree Sai Restaurant

You can find us at the Malhar Complex, specifically in Shop U-12/13. We are right there on the Dumas Road, which is almost always full of cars and people heading towards the beach or coming back into Surat. Being across from Nehru Nagar means we get a lot of people just walking across the road to see what we have. The restaurant isn't something out of a magazine. We have standard tables and the kitchen is right there in the back where you can hear the pans clanking. Our staff are just regular guys from the neighborhood. We don't wear fancy uniforms, just clean clothes and aprons. The mornings are mostly about cleaning the front and getting the ingredients delivered from the market. Surat is a city that loves to eat, so we try to keep up with that. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just have to wait it out like everyone else on the block. We have some plants near the entrance, though they struggle a bit with the heat. The air is always a mix of spices and the salt from the sea breeze since we aren't too far from the coast. It’s a decent place to grab a bite without any fuss. We don't do much advertising; the sign on the complex usually does enough.
