We are located at No. 217 inside the Anupam Textile Market which is right on the busy Ring Road. If you know Surat, you know how crowded it gets around here with all the trucks and workers moving bales of cloth. Our office is just a regular unit where we keep our records and handle the daily business of the company. It is not a very big space but we make it work for us. Most of the day is spent on the phone or talking to people who drop by the market. We have been in this spot for several years and the walls are covered with old calendars and stacks of papers. It is a bit loud outside because of the traffic on Ring Road but inside we just focus on the textiles. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work so we end up taking the stairs a lot. We don't do much in the way of decoration since we are mostly busy with the actual work. Usually, we have tea brought in from the stall downstairs around four o'clock. It is just a handful of us working here to keep things running. We know most of the other shop owners in Anupam Market by now. It’s a practical place for a textile business and we like being in the middle of all the market action. The market life is tough but it keeps us busy every single day of the week.
