About Shree Krishna Texprints – Fashion & Trends in Surat
You can find our place at Mali Ni Wadi, which is quite close to the Kohinoor Textile Market in Salabatpura. This whole area is dedicated to textiles, so there is always a lot of movement. We do texprints here. Our space is filled with the smell of dyes and the sound of the printing tables. It’s a messy job sometimes. We have long tables where the fabric is laid out for the printing process. My hands are usually stained with some color or another by the end of the day. It’s a craft we’ve been doing for many years. We have a few workers who have been with us since the beginning. The building is old and has a lot of character, with high ceilings that help a bit with the heat. Salabatpura is a maze of narrow streets, so it took us a while to get used to the best ways to get goods in and out. We don't have a big corporate structure. I’m the one who answers the phone and also the one who checks the final prints. We have tea together in the afternoon and talk about the local news. It’s a hard-working atmosphere but we try to keep it friendly. Most of our clients are other businesses in the nearby markets who need their fabrics printed. We don't really do any advertising because everyone in the textile circle knows where we are. We just focus on the printing and try to keep up with the orders.
