Shree Ganesh Textiles

Our place, Shree Ganesh Textiles, is over at 770 Belgium Square, right by the Domoria Bridge in Surat. If you know the area, you know how the traffic can be. We spend a lot of our morning just watching the trucks go by while we wait for the first delivery. The shop has been here for a while and it shows. The walls could use some paint, but we're usually too busy with the actual work to worry about that. Most of the day is spent checking the stock that comes in from the mills. We have a lot of stuff piled up in the corners. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. I usually keep a tally on a notepad because the computer is old and slow. My cousin helps out in the afternoons when it gets busy. We don't really do much advertising. People just find us because we're near the bridge. We have a small fan that rattles all day long, which is fine until the summer heat really hits. Then we just drink more cold water. We know most of the guys who work in the other units around Belgium Square. We talk about the weather or the price of goods while we’re standing out on the sidewalk. It’s a simple setup. We come in, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s nothing special, just a honest way to spend the day.
