Shree Foods & Spices

Our place is at 16, Shetalnagar. If you are near the P. P. Savani School in the Hirabaug area of Varachha Road, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s a lively neighborhood with kids running around after school. We handle both foods and spices here. Most of the work happens in the back room where we have the storage and the packing tables. It’s not a very fancy setup. We have some shelves that we built ourselves and a lot of plastic bins. We start early in the morning before the traffic on Varachha Road gets too bad. It’s mostly family members working here. We take turns with the different tasks. One day I might be doing the books and the next I’m hauling sacks of rice or spice. We don't have a big fancy office. Just a small desk in the corner for the paperwork. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we have several deliveries arriving at once. We just do our best to stay organized. We’ve lived in this part of town for a long time, so we know the neighbors well. They stop by for a chat even if they don't need to buy anything. It’s a good community. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just selling food and spices to people who need them. It’s a decent living and it keeps us out of trouble. We just try to get everything out on time.
