You can find us at Shop No. 175 on the 2nd floor of 451 Textile Market. It's right on Ring Road, which is always crowded and noisy. Getting up to the second floor often takes a minute when the stairs are busy with workers carrying big bundles of fabric. We spend most of our time inside the shop surrounded by rolls of material and plastic bags. It’s not a huge space, but we make it work for everything we need to do each day. Ring Road is a hectic place to be, but it’s where all the action is for the textile trade in this city. We’ve been in this market for some time. Every morning we open up, tidy the shelves, and wait for the day's business to begin. It gets a bit loud with all the shouting and carts moving around in the narrow hallways. Sometimes the lift is out or just too slow, so we just use the stairs instead. Our shop is just one of many in this big building. We know the other shopkeepers around us pretty well after all these years. It’s a tight community in 451 Textile Market. We don’t really do any advertising; people just walk in or give us a call when they need something. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we know our stock well enough to find things. It’s a practical way to run a small business. We focus on the daily tasks. Shree Balaji Textiles has been operating here for quite a bit.
