Shiv Shakti Saree

Our place is located on the second floor of a house in Baxini Wadi, which is right in the Salabatpura area of Surat. The house number is 3/2556-A, and it is situated just across from the Kohinoor Textile Market. Being so close to the Ring Road means there is never a moment of peace and quiet, but that is just how Surat is. We use the upper floor mostly for keeping our saree collections and handling the day-to-day business. It is not like a big showroom with glass windows and bright lights. It is more of a practical workspace where we can sit down and look at the fabrics. The stairs are a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when we are carrying heavy bundles up and down. Most of our neighbors are also in the textile trade, so the whole street smells like fresh cloth and packing tape. We start early in the morning before the traffic on Ring Road gets too backed up. The view from the second floor gives us a good look at the crowds heading into Kohinoor market every day. We have plenty of shelves lined with different colors, and we spend most of our time sorting through them to make sure everything is in its right place. It is a lot of manual work, but we have been doing it this way for years and it works for us.
