Shiv Sagar Dining Hall

Our dining hall is located in Krushna Nagar Society right on Adajan Road. It’s a busy part of Surat, especially being opposite Chokshi Vaadi where a lot of local things happen. The place isn't very large but we have enough space for families to sit together. We’ve been serving meals here for a while and the routine is always the same. We start prep work in the morning so everything is ready by noon. There is a lot of chopping and cleaning that goes on behind the scenes. When it’s lunch time, the noise level goes up as people come in for their meals. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. It’s mostly just honest cooking without any extra frills or decoration. The fans stay on all day because it gets quite warm in the afternoons here. Sometimes the street outside is so loud with bikes and cars, but inside we just focus on the food. People know us for being a steady spot in Adajan. We don’t change the menu much because people like what they know. It’s a lot of manual work, carrying plates and making sure the water glasses stay full. We are just a local business trying to do our part in the neighborhood. Every day is different depending on who walks through the door, but the work stays the constant. It is a bit noisy and frantic, but that is how a dining hall works.
