Shayeba Sarees

Shayeba Sarees is located at F/1, in Room No. 11, Shop No. 11. We are situated on Ring Road in the Umarwada area. It’s a small space, but we make the most of it. Being on Ring Road means we are right in the middle of all the textile action. There are always people moving bundles of cloth and rickshaws trying to squeeze through the traffic. Our shop is just one of many, but we have our own way of doing things. We spend the day showing sarees to anyone who stops by. We have them stacked from the floor to the ceiling almost. You have to know exactly where everything is, or you’ll never find it. The room is small, so it gets warm when there are more than two or three people inside. We use a simple fan to keep the air moving. Umarwada is a busy place, and the noise from the street is something you just get used to after a week or two. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. We just have sarees and a place to sit. It’s a lot of manual labor, carrying the heavy stacks and unfolding them for hours. But we like being part of the Ring Road market. It feels like we are in the heart of the city's trade. We just keep our heads down and keep working, one saree at a time. It’s a simple life here in the shop.
