Shankheshwar Fabrics

Our place is at number 5 in the Bhumika Industrial Estate. It’s a bit tucked away behind the CNG gas station on Althan Road. You have to turn in near the Bhatar Char Rasta to find us. It’s a busy junction, so there is always a bit of a wait at the lights. We handle fabrics here. It is more of a warehouse feel than a shop. We have rolls of cloth everywhere. The estate is full of other businesses too, so there are always trucks loading and unloading nearby. It can get pretty cramped in the lane. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Usually, people who come here already know what they are looking for. We spend the day checking the quality of the weaves and making sure the orders are ready for pickup. It is hard work, and the Althan Road heat doesn't make it any easier. Being near the gas station is handy for the delivery vans, I suppose. We’ve been in this spot for a few years now. It works for us because the rent is okay and we are close enough to the main textile areas without being right in the middle of the Ring Road chaos. We just do our thing with the fabrics and try to keep up with the demand. It’s a small team here, just a few of us making sure things run.
