Shangar Sarees

If you are driving down L.H. Road, you will probably see the Maruti Gaushala. We are right across the street from there. It’s a landmark that everyone uses to find us. Shangar Sarees has been sitting on this road for a good while. The traffic outside is always moving, and you can hear the cows from the gaushala sometimes when it’s quiet. We deal mostly in sarees, as you can guess from the name. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique with lights and mirrors everywhere. It is a practical shop for people who need something for a wedding or just for daily wear. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what a customer wants right away, but we eventually dig it out of the pile. My uncle used to run the place, and now I’m here most days. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going full blast. L.H. Road is always a mess with scooters and carts, but it brings people in. We don't have a fancy story. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and start showing sarees. It is a lot of folding and unfolding, day after day. We like the location because it’s easy to explain to people. Just look for the gaushala and look across. That’s us.
